Manufacturing Cybersecurity Engineer (OT/Industrial)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Cybersecurity Engineer to protect digital assets and industrial computing systems in its semiconductor equipment manufacturing environment. The role focuses on securing Windows and Linux endpoints, enforcing configuration baselines, and ensuring safe operation of manufacturing networks.

Key responsibilities

• Discover and assess devices across manufacturing sites.
• Enforce secure configuration baselines for Windows and Linux servers and endpoints.
• Implement Network Admission Control (NAC) and manage malware prevention and application allow‑listing.
• Execute decontamination and validation processes for incoming digital components.
• Support security incident response for manufacturing networks and connected systems.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, IT Security, Network Engineering, Facilities, and Equipment Engineering to maintain compliance.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage security initiatives independently in an OT/industrial setting.
• Experience working with manufacturing or semiconductor production environments.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional engineering teams.
