Manufacturing Design Engineer (eBeam - Systems)

About the role

KLA is hiring a Manufacturing Design Engineer for its eBeam operations team in Singapore. The role sits within the Global Operations group, which works with manufacturing, supply chain, installation and quality teams to build better, faster and more cost-efficient solutions. It is a highly diverse position bridging international manufacturing with advanced technology, working directly with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) instruments, with pathways to manufacturing management, project management or design engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Independently diagnose and resolve complex system-interaction issues on advanced SEM instruments
• Analyze data and build models to optimize processes, improve specifications and upgrade designs
• Deliver critical manufacturing requirements to design engineers to improve production efficiency
• Create, execute and maintain testing and troubleshooting procedures for complex systems
• Build and lead cross-disciplinary project plans from inception to completion
• Provide fly-and-fix support for critical field and supplier escalations (up to 25% travel)

Required profile

• Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years in systems engineering or a related field; entry-level Master's candidates with strong matching skills are encouraged to apply
• Preferred: hands-on experience with vacuum systems, electron optics and high-voltage systems

Required skills

• Expert troubleshooting, experimental setup, modeling and data analysis
• Ability to champion technical solutions to design teams and present to divisional leadership
