Manufacturing Design Engineer (Electrical/Electronics)

About the role

KLA is hiring a Manufacturing Design Engineer (Electrical/Electronics) in Singapore within its Global Operations (GOPS) team, which covers Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation and Quality. The role helps deliver high-impact work on electronic subassemblies, from resolving production issues to supporting new product introduction.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical and quality performance of assigned electronic subassemblies.
• Resolve production issues and support shipment commitments.
• Provide technical support for field escalations and customer issues.
• Drive non-conformance disposition and supplier quality improvements.
• Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support cost reduction, EOL replacement, site transfer and engineering initiatives.
• Create and implement ECOs for product changes.
• Monitor supplier quality and manufacturing yield performance.
• Support ICT/functional test development, troubleshooting and supplier training.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure DFM/DFT compliance.
• Support new product introduction, documentation and manufacturing readiness, and collaborate with design and manufacturing teams on production ramp-up.

Required profile

• Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for NPI, training and technology transfers.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FPGA, ADC/DAC, high-speed digital, analog and signal integrity design.
• Understanding of PCBA manufacturing and quality processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills at test-bench and system levels.
• Experience with imaging, data acquisition or motion control systems is an advantage.
