Manufacturing Technician (Value Stream) Trainee - Attach and Train

About the role

The Attach and Train (AnT) programme is a 15-month on-the-job training scheme run by GSK to build a pipeline of skilled professionals for Singapore's biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry. It welcomes fresh graduates and mid-career people, but only Singapore citizens or permanent residents are eligible. The trainee reports to the Production Superintendent in the Value Streams team and joins the Production Shift Team.

Key responsibilities

• Execute key process operations according to batch instructions and schedule to make APIs and intermediates, and handle plant changeovers
• Learn process and workplace safety and cGMP knowledge and show understanding during execution
• Identify improvement opportunities and carry out short-term improvement projects
• Inspect and maintain housekeeping in the assigned area and ensure PPE and safety equipment are ready for use
• Perform plant troubleshooting with problem-solving tools to minimise stoppages and safety or quality incidents

Required profile

• NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Process, Technology or Engineering
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts
• Singapore citizenship or permanent residency
