Mechanical Design Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment

About the role

The Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the creation of complete mechanical, electrical and pneumatic solutions for advanced semiconductor processing and inspection equipment. You will work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams to turn technical requirements into detailed designs ready for production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engineering concepts and generate full design packages, including mechanical, electrical and pneumatic drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
• Prepare and release detailed drawings and BOMs to the PDM system, ensuring production readiness.
• Capture project documentation (photos, videos) and maintain organized project folders.
• Travel to customer sites for project discussions, commissioning, data collection and field performance evaluation.
• Support the operations team to ensure smooth shipment of products and undertake special assignments as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing mechanical systems for semiconductor equipment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• SolidWorks and PDM proficiency.
• Knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards, servo and linear actuators, precision mechanics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to create electrical and pneumatic circuit diagrams using CAD tools (e.g., EPlan).
• Experience with mechatronic system development, including controllers, step motors, sensors, PLC and motion control.
