Medical Manager

About the role

Novartis is seeking a Medical Manager to support the design, implementation and execution of Medical Affairs plans for a specific therapy area. Based in Singapore with a hybrid work model, the role bridges scientific insight, clinical research and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to medical enquiries promptly and develop standard response documents for frequent questions.
• Provide scientific input for clinical trial design, initiation and oversight within the assigned therapeutic area.
• Support country strategies for non‑interventional studies and investigator‑initiated trials.
• Coordinate review and approval of medical and promotional materials, ensuring alignment with local guidelines.
• Deliver medical insights to cross‑functional teams such as Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access and Commercial.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans and monitor internal controls.
• Maintain robust medical governance processes and meet departmental KPIs.

Required profile

• Medical degree or PhD in life sciences, pharmacy or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Medical Affairs within pharma, biotech or healthcare.
• Strong understanding of scientific communication, evidence generation and medical governance.
• Ability to interpret clinical data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Proven collaboration skills in a matrixed, dynamic environment.
