Operational Excellence & Process Safety Manager – Aroma Ingredients

About the role

This position supports the operational excellence of key technologies and value chains for aroma ingredients, ensuring reliable, safe and cost‑efficient operations across global assets. Based in Singapore, the role works closely with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational excellence for assigned complex key technologies and value chains throughout their lifecycle (standard operation, start‑up, shutdown, turnaround, troubleshooting, quality, regulatory, etc.).
• Drive continuous technical process optimisation, best‑practice sharing, digitalisation and AI initiatives to improve reliability and reduce product costs.
• Act as primary liaison for operations, technology, marketing, supply chain, quality and project management teams for assigned assets, with focus on Asia.
• Support global troubleshooting for aroma assets and manage regular communication with production sites.
• Establish reporting, communication channels and operational targets; align and realise projects to upgrade facilities according to business needs.
• Contribute to new investment and project plans, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
• Participate in virtual communities to exchange experiences across Citral and Menthol assets.
• Ensure technical, regulatory and EHS compliance, including support for process‑safety activities such as HAZOP and RC audits.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in natural sciences or a related field.
• Good knowledge of production and project management.
• Expertise in Citral and Menthol technology as well as process safety.
• Familiarity with processes in research and operational laboratories.
