Operations Specialist – Energy Trading

About the role

Eni Trade & Biofuels is seeking an Operations Specialist to support its Crude and Oil Products team in Singapore. You will work closely with traders, analysts and a wide range of internal functions to ensure smooth execution of commodity contracts and related shipping activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full deal life‑cycle for bulk crude, light‑ends and product tanker/container contracts.
• Guarantee flawless execution of contract and charter‑party obligations in line with Eni’s operational and shipping guidelines.
• Coordinate supply, delivery and loading schedules with internal and external counterparties, nominating ships and cargo dates to meet trading objectives.
• Appoint independent inspection companies for cargo quality and quantity verification and ensure consistent results.
• Handle post‑deal activities such as customs clearance, demurrage and claims, communicating necessary operational information promptly.
• Provide coverage for critical issues outside regular office hours and share expertise across the Operations team.

Required profile

• Fluent level of English.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including handling critical issues outside regular office hours.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with traders, analysts and multiple internal functions (Shipping Operations, Scheduling, Credit, Middle Office, Back Office, Insurance, Legal, Finance, Contracts).
