About the role

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) is seeking motivated individuals to join its elite emergency response team as Direct‑Entry Lieutenants. As a Paramedic Officer you will be at the forefront of life‑saving operations, delivering high‑quality pre‑hospital care and supporting Singapore’s readiness for both routine and crisis situations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage emergency medical incidents, providing first‑class pre‑hospital treatment.
• Drive EMS education, research initiatives, and operational excellence across the organisation.
• Collaborate with fire‑rescue and medical teams to ensure coordinated response.
• Participate in overseas missions and international learning exchanges.

Required profile

• A university degree in any discipline.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• For candidates with National Service obligations, a medical classification of PES B1 or higher.
• Minimum ‘Pass’ result in the Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT).
