Principal Manager, Corporate Planning (CPD)

About the role

The Principal Manager sits in the Corporate Planning Division of the Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA) and supports the Team Lead in guiding the team across corporate planning, performance management, international relations and governance. The role leads and delivers more complex projects as an individual contributor while mentoring teammates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the corporate planning cycle and develop the corporate workplan
• Conceptualize, track and report key performance metrics and outcomes
• Represent SWDA in international engagements and build strategic partnerships
• Coordinate key Board activities and requirements
• Shape and drive corporate strategy, turning long-term goals into organisational plans
• Facilitate senior management retreats and drive internal communications
• Design and oversee enterprise-wide theories of change and performance indicators, and report consolidated performance insights to senior management
• Monitor progress against corporate priorities and communicate organisational impact
• Develop and manage the international and regional engagement strategy, including coordination with government agencies on diplomacy and protocol
• Conduct horizon scanning and environmental analysis, and support Board governance including appointments, induction, remuneration and reviews

Required profile

• At least 9 years of relevant work experience in corporate planning
• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience in corporate planning, performance management, data analytics and/or international engagement is advantageous

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to engage senior stakeholders, Board members, Ministries and external partners
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations
