Principal Procurement Specialist – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

The Principal Procurement Specialist will support day‑to‑day procurement operations on a 12‑month contract, ensuring purchase requests are turned into accurate purchase orders, maintaining procurement system data and advising internal stakeholders on policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Process Purchase Requests (PRs) into Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and efficiently.
• Review PRs for completeness, policy compliance and appropriate sourcing approach.
• Clarify missing information with requestors and ensure timely PO issuance.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.
• Serve as the first point of contact for procurement queries and guide stakeholders on procedures, approval requirements and policy interpretation.
• Maintain and update SAP procurement master data, approval workflows, system access and authorisations.
• Support basic troubleshooting of SAP procurement issues.
• Identify recurring PR submission issues, propose improvements and develop SOPs, templates and user guides.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement operations, purchasing or shared services.
• Hands‑on experience in end‑to‑end PR‑to‑PO processing.
• Strong proficiency in SAP S/4HANA (preferred) and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
