Process Senior Manager/Director – Semiconductor Dry Etch

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to drive advanced dry‑etch process development for our semiconductor customers. The role will oversee recipe creation, hardware‑process co‑optimization and customer‑facing projects, ensuring high‑performance etch solutions that meet stringent specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of advanced plasma dry‑etch recipes (CCP, ICP, ALE, conductor/dielectric, deep silicon etch) to achieve target profile, selectivity, CD uniformity and low defectivity.
• Manage joint development projects and tool‑of‑record evaluations at top‑tier wafer fab sites.
• Mentor and supervise field process application managers, principal engineers and customer support specialists across demo labs and fab locations.
• Collaborate with R&D on next‑generation etch chamber design, plasma source optimisation and RF/gas‑chemistry delivery systems.
• Direct structured problem‑solving activities (8D, PFMEA) for complex process‑hardware excursions in high‑volume manufacturing.

Required profile

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or Electrical Engineering.
• 12+ years of dry‑etch process development experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management or director role within a capital‑equipment OEM or leading foundry/IDM.
