Procurement Assistant/Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Assistant/Manager to join our Procurement Team. The role covers the full spectrum of procurement activities, from policy advice to contract management, ensuring compliance with EM Group standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice on procurement policy, procedures and processes to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with EM Group Procurement Policy and SOPs for all procurement activities.
• Prepare and publish quotation/tender documents according to requirements.
• Coordinate requirements with stakeholders across Business Units.
• Review and evaluate quotations/tenders and prepare bid summaries, approval papers, and Letters of Acceptance.
• Support periodic reporting and internal process improvement initiatives.
• Manage contracts, including issuance of Letters of Acceptance, Purchase Orders, and seamless renewals.
• Oversee the E‑Portal system and conduct vendor screening and analytical studies as needed.
• Perform any other ad‑hoc duties assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of sourcing experience in procurement/contracting, or a Diploma with at least 9 years of experience.
• Meticulous, diligent, and able to work independently under pressure.
• Strong writing, communication, interpersonal skills and business acumen.
• Excellent time‑management abilities.
• Keen interest in strategic change, business management, operational excellence and process improvement.
