Procurement Manager - Singapore

About the role

Ikano Retail, the IKEA franchisee owned by the Kamprad family, operates in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Mexico and also develops shopping centres anchored by IKEA. Its procurement team secures best-buy outcomes, strong governance and responsible supplier relationships across direct and indirect spend. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Procurement Manager leads sourcing and procurement value delivery in Singapore, partnering with Expansion, Property, FM, Fulfilment, Digital, Marketing, Food and other functions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse spend and supplier markets with business functions, assess build, buy or borrow options and recommend sourcing strategies balancing total cost of ownership, quality, service and risk.
• Lead complex, high-value sourcing across direct and indirect categories, including RFx events, supplier evaluations, negotiations, approvals and contract handover.
• Own the Singapore sourcing pipeline, prioritise projects by value and risk, and deliver agreed savings, cost avoidance and supplier rationalisation targets.
• Conduct annual or biannual spend and contract reviews to identify savings, consolidate demand and rationalise suppliers.
• Deliver procurement guidance and training for purchasers, approvers and contract owners, and monitor mandatory training completion.
• Support contract and supplier governance, including renewals, scope, commercial terms, approvals, spend thresholds and supplier performance follow-up.
• Embed sourcing compliance, coordinate contract compliance and audit readiness, and support the adoption of Source-to-Pay systems, category playbooks and regional initiatives.
• Contribute spend, contract and supplier data to regional reporting and share market intelligence.
• Work with business functions and the IWAY compliance lead to embed IWAY in sourcing and supplier management, support risk assessments, self-assessments, verification and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Strong indirect procurement, strategic sourcing and contract management experience, leading projects from opportunity identification to contract handover; direct category experience, including Food, is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation skills and financial acumen, with understanding of competitive bidding and contract governance.
• Fluent in English, with basic IWAY knowledge; IKEA or Ikano Retail experience and local supplier-market knowledge are advantages.
• Ability to build partnerships across functions and stores, influence stakeholders, train non-procurement colleagues and escalate risks constructively.

Required skills

• Understanding of Source-to-Pay processes and controls (requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, vendor creation, approvals).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to turn spend and contract analysis into clear recommendations.
• Project management skills and stakeholder coordination.
