Project Manager – Metal Fabrication & Structural Works

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead metal fabrication and structural works projects for LED SIGNS PTE. LTD. The role involves overseeing projects from site surveys and design coordination through fabrication, installation and handover, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage metalwork projects from site survey and drawing coordination through fabrication, installation and final handover.
• Review project drawings, specifications and site conditions, proposing practical fabrication and installation solutions.
• Coordinate shop drawings, fabrication drawings and installation details using AutoCAD and other design software.
• Oversee fabrication of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium structures, frames, brackets, enclosures and customised components.
• Plan and coordinate materials, manpower, schedules, delivery and onsite installation.
• Monitor project progress, timelines, costs and variations, resolving issues that may affect completion.
• Conduct or coordinate quality inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings and requirements.
• Supervise site installation, resolve technical or site issues, and liaise with professional engineers for calculations and endorsements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in metal fabrication, structural works or architectural metalwork.
• Strong practical knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, framing, brackets, base plates and anchoring systems.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical, fabrication and construction drawings.
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and conduct site surveys.
• Familiarity with Singapore construction practices and safety requirements is an advantage.
