Project & Validation Engineer

About the role

GSK is looking for a Project & Validation Engineer to manage capital projects: scoping and designing them, sourcing and procuring equipment and instrumentation, and managing activities across all project phases. The role also supports GMP qualification activities for new technology and continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to scope capital projects, manage activities across all phases and ensure on-time completion.
• Sourcing and procuring the equipment and instrumentation required for the project.
• Ensure contractors' on-site work is carried out safely and to a high standard of quality.
• Ensure project deliverables meet GSK Quality Management System (QMS) standards and Engineering Standard (GES) requirements.
• As subject matter expert, work with the Automation Engineer to design and implement system automation.
• Work with site utilities experts to implement, monitor and improve the energy usage and efficiency of a new air-cooled chiller system.
• Train FM Engineers and Plant Technicians on maintaining and operating new equipment.
• Support the process engineering team in commissioning and qualification of new technology, capability and improvement projects.
• Develop, execute and review validation protocols and related documentation.
• Lead the resolution of validation events and escalate concerns in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in a relevant engineering field with at least 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Highly knowledgeable and competent in their field of work.
• Demonstrates excellent GMP behaviour and safe practices.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical troubleshooting and strong leadership in team management.
• Good analytical skills for investigating and leading complex issue investigations.
