Quality Assurance Specialist – Food Manufacturing (Singapore)

About the role

We are building a new food manufacturing facility that produces microencapsulated flavour powders in ISO 7/8 cleanrooms. The Quality Assurance Specialist will own the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), implement it on the shop‑floor, maintain records and prepare the site for ISO 22000 certification and Singapore Food Agency (SFA) licensing.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and continuously improve the FSMS in line with ISO 22000, HACCP and SFA regulations.
• Control documentation (SOPs, forms, specifications) including versioning, distribution and archiving.
• Oversee raw material inspection, in‑process checks, finished‑product release and retention‑sample programmes.
• Conduct internal audits, support external audits and manage corrective‑preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain training matrices, ensure mandatory food‑safety training is completed and manage the approved supplier list.
• Lead root‑cause investigations for non‑conformances and drive a strong food‑safety culture.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology or a related field.
• 2–3 years of QA/QC experience in food manufacturing.
• Hands‑on, shop‑floor mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Meticulous documentation and record‑keeping abilities.
