Quality Engineer

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is hiring a Quality Engineer in Singapore. The role sits within the Global Operations (GOPS) team, which covers manufacturing, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, installation and quality, and works with the worldwide supply base and design engineering teams to bring new products to market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the investigation and resolution of quality issues by implementing corrective actions that prevent recurrence
• Drive the global team to identify the true root cause and implement permanent corrective actions for assigned issues
• Handle internal engagement and alignment on customer issues related to quality performance
• Review root cause corrective action closures for validity and drive global lessons learned across product divisions
• Work with engineering, service and product groups so that improvement opportunities are implemented on time
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives for product quality and manufacturing processes
• Train and support team members on quality topics and corrective action procedures

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field, with 8 years' experience, or a master's degree with 6 years' experience
• At least 5 years of experience in a related field
• Proven background in driving corrective actions using problem-solving methods
• Strong interpersonal and self-management skills
• Ability to work in a multicultural team and with colleagues in Israel, Singapore, Wales and Germany
• Ability to explain complex subjects simply
• 10% domestic and international travel

Required skills

• DFMEA and root cause analysis
• Microsoft Office suite and creation of customer-facing reports
• Data analytics experience is a plus
