Research Assistant – LKCMedicine

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is seeking a Research Assistant to support projects investigating ageing patterns in Asian populations and their disease mechanisms. The role provides comprehensive support to the Principal Investigator and research team, ensuring efficient project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor research projects, managing timelines, milestones, deliverables and documentation.
• Track progress, identify delays or operational issues, and follow up with team members for timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate project, research and laboratory records for grant reporting, audits and compliance.
• Oversee day‑to‑day laboratory operations, including equipment, materials, samples, procurement and inventory.
• Organise meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, consolidate updates and follow up on action items.
• Ensure compliance with institutional requirements, research agreements, safety standards and ethical approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences or related field; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Strong organisational and documentation skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
