Regional HR Manager – Manufacturing & Supply Chain (APAC)

About the role

This is a senior regional HR leadership position overseeing the people agenda for manufacturing and supply‑chain operations across Asia Pacific. The role partners with business leaders to shape workforce strategy, drive organisational effectiveness and support change initiatives in a multi‑plant, multi‑country environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the HR agenda for manufacturing and supply‑chain sites across APAC, aligning with business and operational priorities.
• Partner with senior leaders on organisational design, workforce planning and manpower cost management.
• Develop and execute regional talent strategies, including leadership pipelines, succession planning and capability building for critical plant and functional roles.
• Drive change programmes such as transformation, productivity improvements and footprint optimisation.
• Provide guidance on employee and industrial relations, including unionised environments and collective agreements.
• Oversee regional rewards, salary structures, incentive schemes and benchmarking for hard‑to‑fill technical and plant positions.
• Champion a culture of safety, engagement and high performance.
• Advance HR digitalisation and analytics, delivering manpower cost and workforce reporting.
• Coach and develop country and plant HR teams to raise HR service standards.
• Ensure compliance with local employment legislation and global HR standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field; postgraduate qualification or IHRP certification is a plus.
• 10‑15 years of progressive HR leadership experience in multinational organisations.
• Substantial experience supporting manufacturing operations with direct plant‑level exposure, preferably across multiple APAC countries.
• Minimum 5 years in HR leadership roles within a matrixed environment.
• Experience in plant start‑ups, expansions or restructurings is advantageous.
• Proven change‑management capability and ability to translate strategy into executable plans.
