Research Assistant – AI for Mental Health

About the role
We are seeking a Research Assistant to support a multidisciplinary project on artificial intelligence‑mediated communication for mental health at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, NTU Singapore. The role involves collaborating with faculty, students and external partners to generate high‑impact research outputs.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in designing and conducting studies on AI‑mediated communication in mental‑health contexts.
- Contribute to writing and submitting papers to top‑tier HCI, communication and interdisciplinary journals.
- Work with an interdisciplinary team, including students, faculty and community or industry partners.
- Support lab operations: organise research activities, manage project timelines and help prepare grant proposals.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Human‑Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology or a related discipline.
- Minimum one year of research experience in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with social‑science theories, digital well‑being or mental‑health research.
- Strong written and oral communication abilities.

- Quantitative and statistical analysis.
- Computational research techniques.
