Research Assistant/Associate – Neuroscience (Parkinson’s Disease)

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at NTU seeks a motivated Research Assistant/Associate to join Professor Lim Kah Leong’s laboratory. The role supports a National Medical Research Council funded project investigating mitochondrial metabolism and lipid homeostasis in α‑synuclein‑associated Parkinson’s disease.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mouse‑based experiments, including post‑mortem brain section analysis via immunohistochemistry and biochemical assays.
• Maintain and experiment with induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) cultures.
• Conduct mitochondrial functional assays.
• Execute omics analyses as required by the project.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Prior experience with animal work; RCULAC certification is advantageous.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, independent, and well‑organized with good time‑management skills.
