About the role
We are seeking a Research Associate to lead AI‑driven research for the “Manual Assembly Job Quality Inspection” project at NTU. The role focuses on developing computer‑vision algorithms for object and defect detection and supporting the broader research team.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement AI technologies for object and defect detection.
- Integrate developed algorithms into existing systems.
- Oversee project budget and manage procurement and maintenance of equipment.
- Mentor and provide academic guidance to student researchers.
- Prepare and compile project reports.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in computer vision or artificial intelligence.
- Strong communication, organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Prior publication experience is a plus.
Required skills
- Python programming.
- C programming.
- Deep‑learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Computer‑vision techniques.
- Artificial‑intelligence algorithm development.
