Research Associate – Robotics

About the role

We are seeking a talented and responsible researcher to support scientific research and engineering practice in perception and embodied intelligence within the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at NTU. The position focuses on developing advanced robotic manipulation capabilities for household service and manufacturing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop robotic foundation models for general mobile manipulation based on vision‑language‑action models.
• Design an efficient manipulation learning framework from human instructional videos to reduce data demand for policy learning.
• Create a mobile bimanual manipulation system capable of performing diverse tasks in household and manufacturing environments.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least one year of research experience in robotic manipulation or related areas.
• Expertise in robotic manipulation systems and knowledge of robotic foundation models.
• Publication record is an advantage.
• Proficiency in programming with ROS and Python.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
