Research Engineer/Assistant for Digital Adult Learning Quality Index

About the role

The Singapore Institute of Technology seeks a Research Engineer/Assistant to support a national study on digital adult‑learning quality and outcomes. The role involves coordinating participants, managing data, and assisting the Principal Investigator in delivering project milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate participant recruitment, screening, consent, scheduling, communications, reimbursement and retention across pilot and field studies.
• Set up and administer research instruments and workflows using platforms such as Qualtrics.
• Collect, organise, clean, code, merge and quality‑check survey, interview, LMS/telemetry and cost data from multiple sources.
• Maintain secure participant trackers, data dictionaries, audit trails and ensure compliance with IRB and PDPA procedures.
• Support stakeholder workshops, Delphi rounds, telephone interviews and provider engagement, handling logistics and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social or behavioural sciences, statistics/data science, business analytics, human‑computer interaction, public policy or related discipline.
• Foundational knowledge of quantitative research methods and experience with data collection, cleaning and research documentation.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate multiple participants, schedules and providers.
• Good written and spoken communication with adult learners and institutional stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with Qualtrics for survey design and administration.
• Ability to manage longitudinal survey/diary studies and handle LMS/telemetry data.
