Research Fellow – AI Risk & LLM Insurance

About the role

The Nanyang Business School (NBS) seeks a Research Fellow to advance cutting‑edge research at the intersection of artificial intelligence risk, large language model (LLM) supply‑chain security, and insurance innovation. The role is based in Singapore and involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of academics and industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to research on LLM supply‑chain risk quantification, AI model reliability, and AI insurance frameworks.
• Design, implement, and validate the LLM Risk Quantification and Insurance Support Engine, including model formulation, data analysis, and scenario simulation.
• Develop quantitative and actuarial models that translate AI system vulnerabilities into measurable risk metrics.
• Produce high‑impact research papers, present findings at academic and professional venues, and publish in leading journals.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in finance, actuarial science, risk analytics, or related quantitative disciplines.
• Experience with research on AI risk, systemic risk propagation, or insurance modeling.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research environment.

Required skills

• Quantitative modelling and statistical analysis.

• Understanding of AI/LLM risk factors and insurance principles.
