About the role

The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at NTU is seeking a Research Fellow to advance electrochemical surface‑finishing technologies. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team to develop and optimise plating and etching processes for advanced materials.

Key responsibilities

Develop electrochemical processes including electroless plating, electroplating and electrochemical etching.
Conduct experimental trials, analyse results and optimise process parameters.
Prepare technical reports, scientific papers and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science & Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in surface finishing and electrochemistry.
Ability to work safely with lead (inorganic/organic) and mercury compounds.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
