Research Fellow – Communication & Information

About the role

The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore is hiring three Research Fellows. The position is a two‑year fixed‑term contract, with a possible one‑year renewal based on performance, focused on independent and collaborative research in communication and information domains.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct independent research projects and collaborate with faculty and students.
• Write grant proposals and contribute to ongoing research initiatives.
• Publish findings in high‑impact journals and present at international conferences.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams across NTU and organise seminars, workshops, and public‑engagement activities.

Required profile

• Doctor of Philosophy in Communication, Psychology, Sociology, Human‑Computer Interaction or a related social‑science discipline.
• Strong project‑management and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent academic writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural, interdisciplinary environment.
• Evidence of prior research involvement, such as peer‑reviewed publications or conference presentations (preferred).
