Research Fellow - IC Design (Analog/RF Power Management)

About the role

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is hiring a Research Fellow in IC design. The Fellow designs and realizes high-speed, high-efficiency analog and RF integrated circuits, focusing on RF power management ICs, and also supports teaching activities as required by the school.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and test RF power management ICs or other analog, mixed-signal and RF ICs, covering the full development cycle: circuit design, simulation, modeling, layout, verification and measurements.
• Develop scripts and algorithms for analog IC design.
• Prepare research papers, reports and technology disclosures.
• Assist the school in teaching, including instructing and supervising labs and tutorials.

Required profile

• Ph.D., M.Eng or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field; entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in IC design or electronics.
• Familiarity with analog, power management, RF, ADC and DAC IC design.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Cadence.
• Proficiency in Python and MATLAB.
• Experience implementing algorithms for machine learning.
