About the role
The Centre for Advanced Robotics Technology Innovation (CARTIN) at NTU is seeking a Research Fellow to advance mission decomposition and real‑time mission planning/replanning. You will work on cutting‑edge modelling frameworks and simulation testbeds to support complex operational scenarios.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct literature research on state‑of‑the‑art mission decomposition techniques.
- Develop an efficient modelling framework that captures diverse operational requirements and uncertain environments.
- Create and validate mission analysis and decomposition methods.
- Apply the developed methods within a simulation testbed.
- Publish research findings in reputable journals and conferences, particularly ICRA.
- Assist the project PI in mentoring research students.
Required profile
- PhD in a relevant field with research focus on formal methods, modelling, or analysis of complex operations under uncertainty.
- Strong publication record in related areas.
- Knowledge of modelling, simulation, and analysis of sea operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in English for research communication.
