Research Fellow (Perovskites)

About the role

The Renewables & Low-Carbon Generation - Solar team at ERI@N, NTU, develops cost-effective halide perovskite materials for solar energy conversion and light-emitting applications, using low-energy manufacturing processes such as solution processing or vacuum evaporation. It is looking for a focused, highly motivated person to join its team, which focuses on fabricating large-area perovskite devices with various functionalities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop fabrication processes, material characterization and reliability testing capabilities for perovskite devices
• Test new halide perovskite compositions
• Design and build new device configurations with improved stability and reproducibility
• Design and test perovskite devices in various sizes
• Write reports and present results
• Maintain research and study records for possible publication in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings
• Work with internal colleagues, including postgraduate students, and external collaborators on short- and long-term projects

Required profile

• PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry or a related field, with in-depth knowledge of materials, device physics and processing
• Previous experience in halide perovskites and large-area fabrication (slot-die coating) highly desired
• Expertise in materials and device characterization techniques
• Good time management, experiment design and data analysis skills
• Good oral and written English for research purposes
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
