Resident Physician – General Surgery & Neurosurgery

About the role

The Division of Neurosurgery at NTFGH is seeking motivated Resident Physicians to join a leading tertiary neurosurgery unit in Singapore. You will rotate through general surgery and neurosurgery services, gaining hands‑on experience in both open and minimally invasive procedures while contributing to patient care, education and research.

Key responsibilities

• Manage outpatient clinics and inpatient wards under supervision.
• Participate in on‑call duties, elective and emergency operating sessions.
• Attend ward rounds, journal clubs, multidisciplinary meetings and teaching sessions for medical students.
• Collaborate on clinical research projects with NUHS and NUS partners.
• Support administrative tasks such as division planning and coordination.

Required profile

• Basic medical degree from an accredited university, registrable with the Singapore Medical Council.
• Preferably hold a post‑graduate diploma such as Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) or equivalent.
• Strong commitment to patient‑centred care, teamwork and continuous learning.
