Retail Sales Assistant (Luggage)

About the role

A well-established retail operation sells quality luggage and travel goods across multiple shopping mall locations island-wide. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role helping deliver an excellent shopping experience, keeping the store well presented and supporting the team's sales performance. Full training is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Perform sales duties and stock-taking in a department store or retail environment
• Manage opening and closing shifts so day-to-day operations run smoothly
• Keep the store clean, organised and well presented, and ensure merchandise and price tags are displayed correctly
• Help customers identify their needs and recommend suitable luggage and travel goods
• Provide after-sales support and replenish stock while monitoring inventory levels
• Handle daily administrative tasks according to company guidelines and procedures
• Give constructive feedback to the retail store supervisor and support continuous improvement
• Carry out ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor

Required profile

• Prior retail sales experience preferred; luggage or travel goods experience is an advantage, but no experience is needed as full training is provided
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays (off-in-lieu provided for public holiday work)
• Willingness to be deployed across various shopping mall locations island-wide
• Confident, independent, organised and reliable, able to handle several responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Positive, customer-first attitude
