Robotics - Smart Factory Internship

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is offering a Robotics - Smart Factory internship in Singapore, designed as a hybrid role with about two days per week spent in an HPE office. The internship sits within Global Operations, which focuses on developing the workforce of the future through strategic, inclusive and collaborative work.

Key responsibilities

• Independently identify and resolve common and complex challenges, leading robotic automation projects or key modules of large programmes in operations, supply chain and logistics.
• Work with business functions to find pain points and recommend solutions.
• Design and implement programmes that raise the maturity of manufacturing landscapes in line with industry best practice.
• Drive or support end-to-end project management, from ideation and planning to execution, monitoring and review, including initiation, scheduling, risk management and post-implementation review.
• Help turn proof-of-concept projects into fully funded ones by preparing project charters, ROI analysis and presentation materials.
• Take ownership of project decisions and contribute digital solutions and insights to management teams.
• Research emerging technologies beyond robotics to inform the digital roadmap.

Required profile

• Final-year student pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Digital Transformation, Engineering, Business, Mathematics/Statistics or a related field.
• Basic proficiency in analysing operational data (e.g. OEE or cycle time) to measure proof-of-concept results.
• Critical thinking, analytical skills and good written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Understanding of supply chain ERP/MES/planning systems.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory concepts, including IoT and robotics for manufacturing automation.
• Ability to use tools such as SQL or Power BI to analyse data.
