Safety Officer – Formation (Clementi)

About the role

The Formation Safety Officer will act as the principal advisor and coordinator for safety within the Formation. You will lead planning, organization, direction and evaluation of all safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting safety policies, regulations and instructions.
• Monitor safety objectives across sub‑units monthly and consolidate performance for reporting.
• Develop, coordinate and direct accident‑prevention programmes and assess their effectiveness.
• Conduct internal audits and training inspections annually in preparation for external audits.
• Carry out evaluations, inspections and investigations of safety programmes and activities.
• Provide recommendations for corrective actions and ensure timely updates of safety regulations.
• Serve as the Safety Expert for the introduction of new equipment.

Required profile

• Education in any field.
• At least 6 years of relevant safety execution and management experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management standards or equivalent frameworks (advantageous).
• Strong analytical ability to assess safety data and identify trends.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Adaptable, resilient and capable of managing competing priorities.
