Sales Associate – Kitchen & Home Design (1‑Year Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Associate to join our showroom team, focusing on kitchen and home design. You will help customers create their ideal living spaces using IKEA’s range of furniture and services.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise IKEA kitchen planning expertise to measure sites, create floor plans and address layout and installation issues.
• Actively sell the IKEA product range, advising customers on design combinations and suitable solutions.
• Explain the full buying process, including delivery, assembly, installation and financing options, and provide cost estimates and timelines.
• Resolve any problems that arise during planning or installation phases.
• Use the IKEA Home Planner to coach customers and colleagues, ensuring designs meet IKEA criteria.
• Cross‑check kitchen drawings prepared by teammates to minimise errors.
• Coordinate with the kitchen service provider to guarantee timely delivery and installation.
• Support the department manager in executing commercial plans, promotions and activities.

Required profile

• Strong interest in sales, home furnishing and everyday living spaces.
• Experience in planning, designing and selling furniture in a retail environment.
• Ability to work with customers on layout decisions and manage complex purchases.
• Willingness to work retail shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IKEA kitchen planning and layout.
• Proficiency with the IKEA Home Planner tool.
• Experience with floor‑plan creation and site measurement.
