Sales Engineer - Outdoor Sales

About the role

A dynamic technical sales team is looking for a Sales Engineer focused on outdoor sales. You will be the main point of contact for customers seeking specialised technical solutions, working out in the field to build lasting relationships and turn complex product knowledge into value for clients across various industries.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business through prospecting, cold calls, site visits and networking
• Manage and grow an existing account portfolio while keeping customers satisfied and encouraging repeat business
• Deliver product presentations, technical demonstrations and solution pitches tailored to each client
• Prepare and submit accurate quotations, proposals and tender documents on time
• Work with internal technical, operations and after-sales teams to ensure smooth delivery and support
• Track market trends, competitors and customer feedback to shape sales strategy
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs
• Maintain sales records, pipeline status and customer interactions in the CRM system
• Attend industry events, trade shows and client meetings as required

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or another related engineering discipline, or equivalent technical qualification
• Prior technical or B2B sales experience is an advantage; engineers with no sales experience are welcome to apply
• Strong English communication and presentation skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
• Self-motivated, results-driven and able to work independently in the field
• Good organisation and time management for multiple accounts and priorities
• Valid driving licence preferred, given the outdoor and site-visit nature of the role

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with CRM tools is a plus
