Sales Engineer - Quality Control & Reliability Solutions

About the role

This is a full-time Sales Engineer position based in Singapore, offering a career in consultative, solution-based sales within quality control, reliability and research and design sectors. You will spend about two days per week in the office and three days per week travelling within your assigned territory to meet manufacturers face-to-face. A company van is provided, which you may drive home.

Key responsibilities

• Attend a paid training programme covering products, applications and consultative sales techniques through classes, seminars and on-the-job learning.
• Build expert-level understanding of technical quality control, reliability and research or design solutions.
• Visit manufacturers three days per week, giving tailored technical advice and conducting sales consultations.
• Secure new customers and grow existing accounts.
• Recommend the most suitable products and services for each customer's application.
• Contribute to account strategy and the territory's growth plan, and support new product launches.
• Take part in off-site seminars and trade shows as required.
• Manage daily work independently and respond promptly to customer enquiries.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Engineering or a related discipline; candidates with no prior experience or up to several years of relevant experience are welcome.
• Interest in technical products and manufacturing environments.
• Willingness to travel about 60% of the time, including occasional overnight trips.
• Valid Class 3 driving licence.
• Sales experience is an advantage but not required.

• Excellent oral and written English communication and strong presentation skills.
• Active listening and proactive response to customer needs.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
