About the role
The Science Lab Assistant will support daily operations of science laboratories in a primary school setting, ensuring a safe and well‑organised environment for teaching and learning.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of science labs and equipment.
- Monitor stock, manage inventory of lab resources, and maintain a catalogue for teachers.
- Prepare materials and apparatus for lessons and assist teachers during experiments.
- Log loaning and returning of equipment, support Science Olympiad sessions, and perform related administrative tasks.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Lab Technician/Assistant, preferably in a primary school.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English.
- Well‑organised, meticulous and detail‑oriented.
Required skills
- Laboratory safety procedures.
- Inventory management.
