Applied Research Fellowship – Engineering (MOE START Scheme)

About the role

The Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) invites outstanding Singaporean doctoral candidates to join the MOE START Applied Research Fellowship. The one‑year fellowship enables fellows to undertake advanced training or research at a leading overseas university, with mentorship from SIT faculty.

Key responsibilities

• Engage in cutting‑edge research aligned with SIT’s supported engineering areas.
• Collaborate with a SIT faculty mentor and contribute to translational research projects.

Required profile

• Singapore citizen with an excellent academic record in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Accepted or applied for post‑doctoral training at a leading overseas university.
• Strong motivation for an academic career at SIT.

Required skills

• Proficiency in research methodologies relevant to the chosen engineering area.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across institutions.
