Security Executive

About the role

Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford, two Accor hotels in the heart of Singapore's shopping, dining and entertainment districts, are hiring a Security Executive. The role covers day-to-day security operations, including monitoring CCTV, managing access and responding to incidents, and is open to candidates with at least four years of hotel security experience.

Key responsibilities

• Report for duty as scheduled and attend pre- and post-shift briefings.
• Wear and operate company-issued equipment and oversee the daily operations of the Hotel Security Control Room.
• Monitor CCTV and security systems, report irregularities, manage access points and conduct regular patrols of guest floors, public areas and back-of-house.
• Respond promptly to security, safety and medical emergencies and take part in the Hotel Emergency Action Team (HEAT) / Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).
• Handle incident reporting, preliminary investigations and documentation in line with SOPs, and manage lost and found items, key control and visitor/contractor passes.
• Provide crowd control, lift management and VIP escort duties as required.
• Assist in training security officers on SOPs and hotel policies, liaise with management, vendors and local authorities on security issues, and perform other duties assigned by the Security Manager or Director of Security.

Required profile

• Minimum GCE 'O' level.
• At least 4 years of hotel security experience in a 4/5 star hotel.
• Previous law enforcement experience at supervisory level preferred.
• Experience administering persons in life-saving or property-protection situations.
• Minimum Chief Security Officer certification required by local authorities and a CERT certificate.

Required skills

• Conversant with the systems used in the Hotel Security Room.
• CPR, first aid, firefighting and crowd control.
• Computer literacy, report writing, communication skills, and aptitude for investigation and questioning.
