Security Officer - Raffles Hotel Singapore

About the role

Raffles Hotel Singapore, a historic 19th-century hotel, is hiring a full-time Security Officer. The officer delivers the safety and security measures required by the Hotel Management, covering control room duties, patrols, parking management and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Control room: verify visitors, guests and contractors, issue and record keys, document incidents in the Security Management Occurrence log, handle lost-and-found items and answer calls professionally.
• Fire safety: respond to fire alarm activations, activate CERT members and the Decam station, raise the alarm report and assist evacuations.
• Parking: manage the electronic parking system, print daily revenue and settlement reports, and enforce authorised parking in the car park and loading bay.
• Static duties: greet guests, ensure orderly traffic flow, check for unauthorised parking and respond to emergencies within 3 minutes.
• Patrols: patrol hotel grounds, perimeter and Raffles Arcade blocks for crime prevention and incidents.
• Team duties: escort the finance department to the bank, witness deposits, provide crowd control during major events or VIP visits, and act as CERT member and first aider when needed.

Required profile

• Registered Security Officer with a valid PLRD security license.
• Secondary education with WSQ certification in Security Operations.
• Certified in First Aid, CPR and AED, and certified CERT member under SCDF HRI Tier 1 guidelines.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry.
• Outgoing, calm under pressure, fluent in English (other languages an advantage).

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) is an advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, teamwork and computer literacy are advantages.
