Senior Assistant Manager / Manager – Cancer Screening & Early Detection

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is seeking a senior‑level professional to lead the strategic development and administration of the Research Institute for Cancer Prevention, Screening and Early Detection (RISE). This position will shape the institute’s direction, build key partnerships, and secure sustainable funding to advance cancer prevention and early detection research.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and execution of RISE’s strategic development plan in collaboration with the Institute’s Co‑Directors.
• Define clear objectives, priorities, and timelines aligned with the broader Initiative goals.
• Develop and manage relationships with academic institutions, healthcare organisations, research funders, philanthropic bodies, government agencies, industry partners and community groups.
• Represent the Institute to enhance its visibility and credibility.
• Identify and pursue interdisciplinary collaborations and new funding opportunities.
• Coordinate and lead funding applications to secure sustainable financial support.

Required profile

• Motivated, self‑directed professional with a strong background in research and research administration.
• Experience in the cancer research or healthcare sector is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage complex stakeholder networks.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
