Senior Associate, Investments Legal

About the role

The Senior Associate, Investments Legal will provide strategic legal advice and lead the execution of investment transactions for Brookfield Property Group and its funds. Based in Singapore, the role focuses primarily on Japan with secondary responsibilities across South Korea, Southeast Asia and broader regional initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver strategic legal counsel on acquisitions, disposals, mergers and structured finance transactions.
• Lead transaction execution, including drafting and reviewing contracts, bond indentures and related documentation.
• Manage legal and commercial risk assessments and recommend mitigation actions.
• Advise on capital management initiatives and corporate securities matters.
• Stay informed of Brookfield’s strategy and relevant legal developments, integrating insights into transactional and governance practices.
• Provide litigation support as required.
• Oversee external legal engagements, review advice from counsel and communicate outcomes to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the Asia‑Pacific region.

Required profile

• Significant experience in real‑estate investment legal work, including cross‑border transactions.
• Strong knowledge of legal frameworks in Japan and familiarity with South Korean and Southeast Asian markets.
• Proven ability to work within integrated, multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Experience handling complex M&A, financing and securities matters.
