Senior Associate/AVP – ESG Investment Management (12‑month contract)

About the role

Temasek is seeking an ESG professional to support the integration of sustainability considerations across its investment process. Reporting to the Vice President of ESG Investment Management, the role will focus on new investment opportunities and targeted engagement with portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ESG research and analysis to support deal teams in evaluating new investments from risk and value‑uplift perspectives.
• Assist with post‑investment monitoring and develop ESG action plans in partnership with deal teams.
• Produce thematic reports on cross‑cutting ESG topics and megatrends that influence investment decisions and portfolio management.
• Contribute to Temasek’s sustainability knowledge repository by delivering ESG tools and resources.

Required profile

• Academic background in sustainability, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
• Experience conducting ESG analysis and research, preferably within an investment or asset‑management context.
• Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to translate ESG insights into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with investment teams and portfolio companies.
