Senior Counsel – Employment, Litigation & Core Products

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Counsel to lead employment, litigation and core product legal matters across Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, you will work within the Regional Legal team, partnering with business, HR and product stakeholders to provide pragmatic, business‑focused advice.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary employment law advisor for the APAC region, handling performance management, compensation, terminations, restructurings and workplace investigations.
• Draft, review and negotiate employment contracts, separation agreements and restrictive covenants.
• Support M&A, divestitures and joint ventures with employment and benefits due diligence and integration advice.
• Oversee civil litigation, arbitration and other dispute resolution matters, coordinating with regional counsel and external counsel.
• Monitor legislative developments and advise HR and business units on proactive compliance strategies.
• Develop and deliver templates, tools and training to scale employment law support across the region.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with extensive experience in employment law and litigation within a multinational environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex disputes and advise on corporate transactions.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work collaboratively across functions.
• Willingness to work in Singapore and travel within APAC as needed.
