Senior Data Scientist - Semiconductor Yield Analysis

About the role

Micron is hiring a Senior Data Scientist in Singapore to design, develop and deploy data science methods and models that turn unstructured big data into actionable insights for customer service and product improvement. The role sits alongside product and service teams and covers the full life cycle of data science models.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and program methods, processes and systems to consolidate and analyse unstructured big data sources.
• Work with product and service teams to define questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
• Develop and code software, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from many sources.
• Deploy data science models and lead the end-to-end life cycle, including design, development, deployment, maintenance and monitoring.
• Extract insights from large data and metadata sources and communicate them to product, service and business managers.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or a related field, with at least 3 years of data science experience.
• Foundation in statistical modelling, advanced analytics and modern machine learning.
• Experience in semiconductor yield analysis and process optimisation (e.g. FDC, SPC or probe data).
• Experience in High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) process.
• Ability to extract data from databases with SQL and other query languages, and to apply data cleansing, outlier detection and missing data techniques.
• Experience deploying production-grade AI solutions on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex data insights to non-technical audiences, and proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Python (minimum 3 years hands-on experience)
• SQL and other query languages
• Preferred: web development with Angular, FastAPI and Docker
• Preferred: experience with generative AI and large language models
