Senior Dietitian - Tengah General and Community Hospital

About the role

The new Tengah General and Community Hospital (TGCH) in Tengah Forest Town, part of the National University Health System (NUHS) cluster, is a comprehensive health campus offering emergency, inpatient, rehabilitative and outpatient specialist care. It is expected to be ready by the early 2030s. The Senior Dietitian role supports the development of this hospital through nutrition care, medical nutrition therapy and dietary counselling.

Key responsibilities

• Collect relevant data and assess patients' nutritional needs
• Develop nutritional care plans and plan appropriate medical nutrition therapy
• Provide dietary counselling to patients and caregivers
• Plan for necessary follow-up and discharge
• Maintain clear verbal and non-verbal communication
• Work within a multidisciplinary setting
• Take part in research and other projects and activities that support the department and hospital goals

Required profile

• Updated knowledge of evidence-based medical nutrition therapy
• Awareness of department and hospital guidelines and policies
• Familiarity with electronic systems used in dietetics
• Competence in dietetics assessment and clinical intervention, and in evaluating treatment outcomes
• Accurate and succinct documentation
• Good communication skills and cultural awareness
