Senior Occupational Therapist (Hands)

About the role

National University Health System (NUHS) is recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist (Hands) for the new Tengah General and Community Hospital (TGCH), located in Tengah Forest Town. The hospital is described as a comprehensive health campus offering emergency, inpatient, rehabilitative and outpatient specialist care, and is expected to be ready by the early 2030s.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to planning of Hand Occupational Therapy services, including space, design, workflow and manpower considerations.
• Collaborate with clinical, allied health, operational and administrative stakeholders on service planning.
• Assess and manage patients referred for hand occupational therapy independently, implementing appropriate treatment plans using specialised OT knowledge and skills.
• Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Document patient clinical assessments accurately in occupational therapy records.
• Network with healthcare practitioners within and beyond NUHS and comply with clinical and service standards.
• Assist with administrative duties as tasked.

Required profile

• Degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
• Full registration with AHPC.
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant clinical specialty is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to prioritise and multi-task effectively.
• Strong analytical, communication, written and presentation skills; team-oriented with initiative and independence.
• Proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills with stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
