Senior Engineer (Training & Capability Development)

About the role

This role supports engineering capability development across CAAS and the digitalisation of selected operational workflows through IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms. It covers capability development, user readiness and the move from manual processes to standardised digital workflows, in line with operational and governance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support structured technical training programmes aligned with organisational needs, working with system owners, subject matter experts and training providers on user guides, learning resources and training materials
• Align training plans with competency frameworks and certification requirements where applicable
• Support the migration of workflows to ITSM platforms, translating operational processes (incident, change, service request, maintenance tasks) into digital workflows with process owners and platform teams
• Support requirements gathering, testing and rollout of ITSM workflows, and user readiness and adoption
• Track capability development initiatives through implementation, feedback and performance, using digital learning methods and tools where suitable
• Administer and periodically review competency frameworks and certification tracking, and identify capability gaps and recommend development interventions
• Support user adoption and knowledge transfer, collaborating with internal teams, training providers and vendors

Required profile

• Trained in Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in engineering or operational environments involving mission-critical or high-reliability systems
• Experience in capability development, knowledge transfer or training support
• Ability to coordinate capability development, manage stakeholders and facilitate knowledge transfer in an operational setting
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Required skills

• Preferred: experience with ITSM platforms or workflow digitalisation
• Preferred: knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request)
• Preferred: familiarity with digital learning tools, simulation systems or LMS platforms
• Preferred: experience with competency frameworks or certification processes, vendor and partner work, and awareness of regulatory or industry standards
